PROPUESTA MUSULMANA HACIA UNA BASE COMÚN PARA EL DIÁLOGO INTERRELIGIOSO
Resumen
El 13 de octubre de 2007, con ocasión de la fiesta musulmana Eid al-firt Al Mubarak 1428 A.H., líderes y académicos musulmanes enviaron una carta abierta a los cristianos de todo el mundo concerniente el diálogo interreligioso y los derechos humanos. Este comunicado es conocido como “Una palabra común entre nosotros y vosotros”, el cual quiere mostar que el tema del amor a Dios y el amor al prójimo es una idea común en el Islam y en el Cristianismo. Este terreno común proviene de los principios fundamentales de ambas creencias expresados en el Corán y en la Biblia.
En este artículo, se analiza la propuesta musulmana de tener una base en común para el diálogo interreligioso. En primer lugar, se estudia la propuesta dada por los musulmanes en la carta abierta, para luego, destacar los aspectos positivos que esta iniciativa contiene y que pueden ayudar a mejorar las relaciones entre los creyentes. Además, se exploran algunas ambigüedades de la propuesta musulmana las cuales pueden causar dificultades en la construcción de un diálogo fraterno y sincero entre las religiones. Finalmente, se sustenta que la propuesta musulmana debería ser llevada hacia una óptica más inclusiva en el encuentro con otros, que tenga presente a creyentes y no creyentes, con el fin de promover mas ampliamente los derechos humanos.
